I just got this new Logitech slim combo keyboard and case for my 12.9” iPad and I really like it so far. In fact, I’m writing this post right now on it. I’m a stickler for items which make tasks effortless. And while I always have to think to come up with words to write, my fingers are swiftly clacking away on this awesome keyboard. There’s something satisfying about feeling the clicking of a mechanical keyboard. I guess the future will have different methods for getting words out of our minds. And really dictation has come a long way, but I still love rapping away on the keyboard. So on to the real topic at hand.
Historically, writing has not been something I’ve considered to be a priority. It has only been lately in my life that I’ve felt compelled to write. As an engineer, we’re not really known for the gift of gab. And I will be the first to say I struggle with the creative aspect of blogging. But then I think about life. And that we all have a story to tell. That we all have special gifts and circumstances and happenings and events which should be shared with others. Not to bring attention to ourselves, but to offer up hope and encouragement to others. Man, life is hard. Between bills, kids, work, social events and just everyday “stuff”, life can be seen as tough. But it doesn’t have to be. In fact others have written about this very thing. The apostle Paul wrote, “For I consider that the suffering of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is going to be revealed to us.” Romans 8:18.
And so I write. I write for those things above. I write to give back. I write to attempt to bring hope to those who feel their lives are spiraling out of control. Perhaps you should be writing something. Just anything. Just get it out of your head and on paper. Whatever’s on your mind, just sit down and write it out. I’m confident it will help.
